Why we built this
South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world, and yet most job seekers spend their time doing the same thing over and over: filling out application after application, and hearing nothing back. Not a rejection. Not an interview. Nothing. The application just disappears.
Profayl exists to flip that around. Instead of applying to job after job and waiting, you build one complete, verified profile — your education, your experience, your skills, and two short videos that show who you are. Employers come to the platform when they have a role to fill, search for people who match what they need, and reach out directly. You're not competing with three hundred other applications in an inbox nobody reads.
What makes it different
We deliberately don't post job listings. There's nothing to scroll through and nothing to apply to. Your profile only becomes visible once it's genuinely complete — personal details, at least one qualification with a supporting document, and both your introduction videos. That's by design: a half-finished profile helps nobody, so we'd rather ask you to finish it than show employers something incomplete.
On the other side, every employer account is manually reviewed before they can search at all. We check a real company registration number and document before anyone gets access to candidate profiles. It's an extra step, but it's the reason job seekers can trust who's looking at their information.
A South African platform
This platform is built for the South African job market specifically — provinces and cities you actually search by, qualification levels that match our education system from matric through to doctorate, and data handling built around the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) from the ground up, not bolted on afterward.
